About Emily Welty
Emily was born in Three Rivers, Michigan, USA and went to the College of Wooster in Ohio where, studying religion and peace studies, she was notorious for belonging to every peace and justice group on campus. From there, she spent time living, working and having adventures in Israel/Palestine, South Africa, Northern Ireland and Boulder, Colorado before coming to Washington D.C. to do a Master's program in International Peace and Conflict Resolution at American University. She is now the editor of the Association for Conflict Resolution's magazine and is doing a PhD studying religion and conflict in Africa at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
