Matthew and Emily have done consulting work, individually and together, on a wide variety of projects for international humanitarian and development agencies around the world since 2003. Their work falls into three main catagories:

Emily and Matthew have considerable experience working with the media and are able to deliver lucid and targeted press releases, grant proposals, donor reports and human interest articles in time-constrained environments.

With higher degrees in social science and experience in the fields of humanitarian aid, development work, investigative journalism and human rights observation, Matthew and Emily are able to analyse social and political situations from both practical and theoretically informed perspectives. They have particular expertise in analysing situations of conflict, the micro-politics of organizations and the socio-political role of religious institutions.

Matthew and Emily have experience in teaching and training people of many different ages, cultures and educational levels and have developed professional training materials for humanitarian agencies.
